ANNUAL GOLF EVENT – 2011 & GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

Golf is no longer a game of hitting the ball, finding it, and hitting it again …” (anonymous)

(Participants of the 4th Annual Golf Event June 2011)

Since the game’s inception, golf has been played on courses conceived from the natural lay of the land. Once again, members of the PMI Lakeshore Chapter enjoyed Lowville’s hospitality and their seamless harmony with the surroundings.

Our 4th annual golf event saw the return of some familiar faces and teams as well as the addition of new comers.  Weather wise you couldn’t have asked for a better day. Cool temperatures and overcast skies greeted those that arrived early. As the day progressed we were blessed with periods of sunshine and blue skies.

Members were displaying their natural abilities, as Project Management Professionals, to analyze their approach to each hole. Some, like Andrea Saunders and Robert Crabtree, played exceptionally well to win the closest to the pin – ladies and men’s respectively.

The day finished with a well deserved meal, some golf stories and of course everyone walking away with a prize or two.

Salutations go out to Alison Copoc – Director of Marketing and Richard Steer – Director of Professional Development for organization another great day for the Chapter’s members. Additional thanks go out to those that donated the sweg and our sponsor(s) - Toronto Promotional Specialist (TPS), Lou Boccia for securing a generous raffle donation of a round of golf (for 4) from Marc Gruel of Pipers Heath.

Special thanks to our members. Without their support and generosity we wouldn’t have been able to raise the $400.00 dollars that went to the Robert Land Community Association (RLCA) to improve the quality of life and enhance social wellbeing for an entire North Hamilton neighbourhood
