PMP Certification Examination Preparation Course, Fall 2005Course RegistrationRegistration is now closed Registration InformationThe PMI Lakeshore Chapter will be holding a PMP Certification Exam Preparation Course over the course of five consecutive Saturdays between October 22nd and November 19th, 2005. This course is being offered to our members by Bay3000 Consulting Inc. which is a premier provider of project management services to the Toronto area. Who will benefit from the course? The course is based on the new 2004 [3rd edition] of the PMBOK guide and is presented in a seminar and workshop form including exercises and sample questions. This course is very similar to that offered by most PMI Registered Education Providers in that it will provide an in-depth review of all the PMBOK knowledge areas. Does taking this course count towards the project management training hours required for the PMP application?Given the duration of the course, you will be receiving all 35 required contact training hours. Where will the course be held? The proposed location for the course is the Holiday Inn Mississauga, 2125 North Sheridan Way, Mississauga, Ontario, L5K 1A3, (905) 855-2000 (go north from the QEW onto Erin Mills Road and then make an immediate left hand turn [west] onto North Sheridan Way. The Holiday Inn is located at the corner of North Seridan Way and Leanne Blvd). How much will it cost? The cost of the course is $888.10 ($830 + GST) for PMI members and $943.74 ($882 + GST) for non-members. How does this price compare with similar offerings in the Greater Toronto Area? The price of $888.10 is at least 50% cheaper than that offered by the main education providers in the Greater Toronto Area, as well as those that offer courses online (such as Cheetah Learning). By providing a larger number of potential students to Bay3000, we have been able to secure a significant volume discount for our membership. Which Saturdays will the course be held? The course will be held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the following Saturdays in October/November:
What is the registration process? The following process is in place to ensure an orderly registration process for this training course. It provides a level of control that will ensure the course capacity is managed.

How many seats are there for the course? We will be accepting between 25 and 40 students for this course on a "first come-first serve" basis. If less than 25 students register by Tuesday, October 18th, 2005, we will be forced to cancel the course, and will return payment to registered attendees.
