Welcome to the PMI Lakeshore Chapter Mentoring Program!

What Are You Going to Do With All That Experience?
How About Sharing It?

  • Have you experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly in your business career?
  • Have you been through the corporate “mill” and come out the other side a better person?
  • Have you had a great and varied career?
  • Have you had an unusual opportunity to apprentice with an expert?

OR

Perhaps you’re seeking some guidance or a friendly partner to help you navigate some particularly difficult terrain.

If you can answer "YES" to any of these questions, now may be the perfect time for you to join the PMI Lakeshore Mentoring Program.

Whether you take the role of mentor or mentee (or both!), this is your opportunity to:

  • Learn something new about project management
  • Develop skills & competencies
  • Meet new people & make new connections
  • Earn PDU's

What is the Mentoring Program About?

Finding a trusted career counselor in our field of interest is frequently time consuming, difficult and often fruitless. The Mentoring Program simplifies this process for you and helps make valued and valuable connections between skilled, caring business leaders and practitioners who need a confidential, sympathetic ear, a bit of career guidance and perhaps some educational or developmental guidance.

Beginning in March, 2009, PMI Lakeshore Chapter embarked on a new Mentoring Program! The Mentors and those who benefit from their guidance often point to the mentoring relationship as one of the most rewarding and beneficial experiences of their entire professional careers. Now is the time for you to take advantage of this rare and exciting opportunity.

Dear Lakeshore Chapter Mentors/Mentees

We have had an overwhelming response to our upcoming winter 2012 session. If you wish to participate in the next session (commencing February 11th 2012), please direct your intentions to mentoring@pmi-lakeshore.org with subject line: "Mentorship Program - Winter 2012 session", along with following information in the message body:
Last day to send requests for this session, is January 31st, 2012.

  • Full Name
  • PMI ID
  • Role (Mentor/Mentee
  • Contact Phone
  • Email Address

Notes:

  • We have had more Mentees than Mentors; during the last kick-off meeting some Mentees offered to work as Mentors thus ensuring equal representation. Everybody can offer a lot as a mentor, as well from their experience, and can switch roles on next session(s). We must have equal number of mentors and mentees for the program to be successful.
