Presentation Abstract

HydroOne is the biggest electric transmission & distribution utility in Ontario, and among the largest in North America. Nairn McQueen will be speaking on managing fast track high profile projects at HydroOne. Examples will be taken from the planned shutdown of Lakeview Generation Station and the associated need to ensure reliable electric supply to the Greater Toronto Area. Nairn will touch upon effective ways of managing high profile projects in a multi-project environment.

Speaker - Nairn McQueen

Nairn is the Vice-President, Engineering and Construction Services, HydroOne Networks Inc. He is responsible for;

  • All aspects of the engineering and construction program - over $250 million annually
  • External capital projects contracted on a very selective strategic partnership basis
  • The HydroOne Supply Chain function, including the Strategic Sourcing initiative
  • Managing the ten year $1,000,000,000 outsourcing contract with Inergi LLC for non-core functions.

Prior to joining HydroOne, Nairn was Vice-President, Engineering and Project Management Services, at Agra Monenco and was responsible for managing engineering and project management groups.
