Managing Project Commitments
Presentation Abstract
The evolution of information technology project management over its first 40+ years has yielded a wealth of information. Much of this is documented in the BOK, providing a vehicle to assist project managers with the ongoing improvement of their work and our profession. Along the way, however, we made some mistakes that we are still living with.
Mike will talk about these problems, what they are costing us, what skills and/or disciplines are needed to address them, and what we can and should do to fix them.
Speaker - Mike Howe
Mike has more than four decades experience in managing and mismanaging systems implementation projects; as an IBM Systems Engineer (1958 to 1967), Assoc. Director, Computing Centre, U/W (1967 to 1969), Partner, SDI Assoc. Ltd. (1969 to 1972).
Since he founded Who Cares Motivational Systems in 1972, he has been helping clients improve their productivity and quality of working life, using better systems for managing people.
Mike is a popular speaker on the subject of management and enjoys an international reputation for informative and entertaining presentations.
