A PMI Lakeshore Chapter Dinner/Presentation

Using Project Management Techniques to Gain Inventory Accuracy

Presentation Abstract

Inventory Accuracy is the base foundation of any ERP system. Without accurate inventory, the rest of the system is uncertain. This presentation will review a case study of an inventory accuracy project developed for a plastics extrusion factory. Project Management techniques were used to enable the project to move from a 12% accuracy to a sustainable 95+%, reduce the days on hand inventory by $300,000, and reclaim over 25% of the warehouse Finished Goods Inventory space, all while maintaining customer service within an expanding market. The presentation will review the steps used to obtain these results, and tips used to maintain the inventory accuracy consistently.’’
