Project Delivery Excellence
The Role of the Project Leadership Team
The Role of the Project Leadership Team
Presentation Abstract
TMost projects have a Leadership Circle who is collectively responsible for directing the project and ensuring its success. We all know that good Governance, Methodology, and Project Management are critical to the success of any project. However, beyond the foundation of sound project management practices, it is the Project Leadership Circle that determines how successful their project shall be.
The goal of this presentation is to discuss the core competencies of the Project Leadership Circle and to present an assessment approach that will help you determine whether the leadership team has what it takes to lead the project to success. These leadership core competencies include: Authority, Experience, Alignment of Priorities, Prudence and Thoroughness in Execution, and Relationship Dynamics. The presentation includes case studies to illustrate the possible consequences of shortfalls, imbalances, and misalignments in these competencies.
