Overview

The Ontario Lakeshore Chapter of the Project Management Institute is a non-profit body of volunteers, established in 1997, to promote further awareness and recognition to the proven and established methodologies for structured project management.

The Lakeshore Chapter of the Project Management Institute will support the Project Management Institute in its stated organizational purpose:

  • "The Project Management Institute is an international organization working to improve project and program performance by serving its members, the profession, society and a wide range of public, application areas and cultures."

The Lakeshore Chapter is an organization of dedicated professionals in the field of project management providing support to the business and educational community within its geographical area.

Mission

The Lakeshore Chapter provides professionals, in the field of project management, opportunities for interaction with their peers through networking, meetings, and training opportunities that support certification efforts.

General Objectives

Promote the mission and objectives of the Project Management Institute.

Develop a growing and committed membership through providing valuable services and promoting these services within the community.

Deliver an educational program that strengthens the skills of the local project management community, and supports the certification of its members as Project Management Professionals through the Project Management Institute certification program.
